Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal - 35 miles of restored waterway which is a remarkable piece of engineering being virtually lock-free (there is one at Llanfrynach near Brecon and a group at Llangynidr half way down) and easily accessed from Drws Nesa (about 20 minsutes drive). It is possible to hire boats at Goytre Wharf or from further up the canal for half or whole day cruises.
